Workday with Beartha at Misfit Mountain!
Come lend a hand with volunteers and local nonprofits at Misfit Mountain animal rescue. Help us tidy up for spring by raking gravel, cleaning the pig pens, organizing sheds, building shelves and crates, hanging signs, etc. We have something for everyone!

We are going to be focusing on building more fencing for the pig pen, cleaning the outside of the clubhouse, and painting the cat clubhouse floor.

Dog Days of Summer Adoption Paw-ty
Join Rusty's Legacy and Misfit Mountain Animal Rescue at Sam's Club in Asheville for a fun day with dogs and puppies!! There will be dogs of all ages and sizes ready and waiting for their forever homes. Foster and volunteer opportunities also available. Please stop by, say hi, pet a dog and maybe even give one a home!

Boho Hippie Festival 2024
Join us for the 3rd Annual Boho Hippie Festival located at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds! Each year they plan to bring more fun and entertainment for your whole family! Put them bell bottoms on, put a feather and flower in your hair and come out!
There will be live music both days, food trucks, performance artists, hula hoop dancers, live glass blowing, face painters, over 100 unique vendors, tie dye station and so much more for the family!
Portion of beer sales will be donated to Misfit Mountain.
Annual Rescue Run
Address is for Shining Creek Path Trailhead off 276...we will be ACROSS THE ROAD in the dirt parking area!
PARTICIPATION IS $25/JEEP
ON THE ROAD BY 1PM! This will be a pavement, dirt, and gravel ride! Plan is to take 276 towards Brevard and hit Yellow Gap (permitting that the trail is open) into Mills River. Our ride will END at Mills River Brewing where Misfit Mountain will be set up with some raffle items! MRB has a full bar and a food menu, along with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Leashed animals are welcome!
